I have found most of the informations related to multitasking in the "man" pages, topics "fork", "shmget", "semget" (you are welcome to propose better hints :-).

Multitasking would be lighter with Posix threads (which share global variables, unlike "fork" which requires shared memory allocation at runtime to do that). Contributions are welcome on this topic.
